Security ratings within the range extend from 6 to 10, while selected products achieve a CEN rating of 6. A higher rating is worth considering when the contents would be costly or difficult to replace.

Gates and fences often require a fitting designed specifically for their shape. The ABUS GateSec Hasp wraps around a tube instead of mounting to a flat door, creating a secure attachment point where a conventional fitting may not work. For greater protection against direct attack, the Squire STH1 Security Padbar conceals almost the entire padlock shackle once secured.

Choosing a Compatible Padlock and Fixing

Your hasp and padlock must fit together correctly to provide effective protection. Check that the staple loop will comfortably accept the padlock shackle without leaving excessive space that could be exploited with a crowbar.
